House Etiquette

Poker is a fun and social game, by following basic etiquette rules are intended to keep it that way. When playing a game of poker in the Knockout Poker League you MUST know and follow the house rules. Players failing to adhere to the following rules and conditions may result in a warning, suspended temporary or permanently removal of playing privileges from Knockout Poker League tournaments:

You must NOT:

  • Deliberately act out of turn.
  • Deliberately splash chips into the pot.
  • Agree to check a hand out when a third player is all-in.
  • Soft play by refusing to bet against a certain opponent whenever heads-up.
  • Reveal the contents of a live hand before the betting is complete.
  • Reveal the contents of a folded hand before the betting is complete.
  • Do not divulge the contents of a hand during a deal even to someone not in the pot, so you do not leave
    any possibility of the information being transmitted to an active player.
  • Needlessly stall the action of a game.
  • Deliberately discard hands away from the muck.
  • Stack chips in a manner that interferes with dealing or viewing cards.
  • Make statements or take action that could unfairly influence the course of play, whether or not the
    offender is involved in the pot.
  • Players must not us threatening or abusive language including racist or anti-religious remarks.
